forward march

just wondering:
how many of you
have those days
when there are
perhaps 5 thou-
sand things that
must be done &
there's not a single
one that does get
done, due to the
fact that you've
spent the whole
day trying to avoid
not that which must
be done but that
which must be faced.

and the truth of it is
that that which much
be faced really isn't a
big deal? today, by mid-
afternoon, it seemed a
good idea to just deal
with one thing, and i
did (here). looks like a
book one probably doesn't
want to put off reading,
you think? here's to a more
productive tomorrow.

cheers.

i think i would
like to make a
movie with
this. the
heroine
would be
daring and
not quite 11
and
the
story
would
end
thrillingly
&
with
soaring
happiness.

We all have them, are we willing to present them to others?

a new year

resolved: do more good

i've got a few 2011 resolutions,
the rest a bit more concrete (&
in smaller bites. do more good's
a big one, i believe. wish me luck.)

whether you opt for the
resolution thing or not
(i don't every year, but
this one seems a bright
time for a start), i wish
you a new year full of
wonders. good ones.

We have learned to say that the good
must be extended to all of society
before it can be held secure
by any one person or class;
but we have not yet learned
to add to that statement,
that unless all [people]
and all classes contribute to a good,
we cannot even be sure that it is worth having.

how we listen
to our lives
determines
whether we
simply categorize things
as
bad or good,
whether
we spend our lives running
toward
or away
from certain
people
or interactions,
whether
we
greet
the possibilities
in all of life
