word

yesterday, our youngest son (who is home for a bit from college, and it has been a joy) mentioned in his beautiful and laconic way that is amazing, the work that we all do. he wondered aloud that there are things we think we cannot live without, or do not want to live without- in this case, i had been considering beautifully formed ceramics (heath, thank you) and he had been thinking about additional expenses (coffee and such) at college- he works as a bike messenger, also- and how we spend our lives working to pay for these things. and we buy and we work and as the cycle goes, how do we live? when do we live? only he said it much more succinctly and purposefully than i have. i just wanted to remember.

considering this
often leads me here
